Digital X-rays

Dr. Al-Sabawi uses digital X-rays to optimize patients’
comfort and safety and minimize patients’ time in the
dental chair waiting for X-rays to develop.

Digital X-rays work by placing a sensor in the patient’s
mouth that is more comfortable than traditional film.

These sensors are more sensitive than the film and
therefore reduce patient’s exposure to the X-ray
beam by 90%.
The sensors are connected by a wire to a computer.
After exposure of the sensors both the patient and the
dentist will immediately be able to view a detailed X-ray
image on the computer monitor.

Digital X-rays do not require developing solutions
traditionally used to develop X-ray films and are therefore
considered to have a high environmental advantage.
